Child of Ruin

Child of Ruin is a narrative-driven, open-world, turn-based RPG where choices matter! You play Ravi as they and their two ethereal companions traverse a ruinous world as they try to unravel the mysteries of the past.

My Contribution:

  • Worked with a team of four writers to create the game’s overall storyline

  • Used flowcharts to outline and create branching conversations

  • Wrote main character profile

  • Wrote opening cutscene, Sanctuary of Echoes (3rd region) NPC, post-final-battle conversation, and one of the two possible endings

  • Used TDS to implement the opening cutscene

Mouse Point: Darwin’s Journey

Mouse Point: Darwin’s Journey is a coming-of-age, cozy-adventure game where you play as a little mouse trying to find his way back to the family he was torn from.

My Contribution:

  • Developed and tested the initial digital paper prototype for the game concept

  • Drafted entire game script

  • Wrote all character backstories/profiles; crafted game lore documents

  • Created ink files to assist with getting player-facing text & dialogue in-engine

  • Scripted dialogue manager for use in the Alpha build

  • Decorated all room prefabs used to create the Unbridled Wood area in the game

  • Assisted with social media marketing/community building

  • Assisted in collecting player feedback for Alpha and Beta playtests

  • Worked inside the agile framework to execute all deliverables

Unsung Zooper Hero

Unsung Zooper Hero is an endearing puzzle platformer where you play as a zoo keeper tasked with freeing the zoo animals from the clutches of an evil corporate overlord.

My Contribution:

  • Wrote game backstory and all player-facing text

  • Created reference document outlining/defining the game’s plot and how it connects to the core gameplay loop

  • Assisted with setting up the Itch page

Bee Brave

Bee Brave is an endearing platformer about a little bee tasked with saving his hive from a hoard of villainous wasps.

My Contribution:

  • Assisted in designing the core gameplay loop

Meteor Down

In Meteor Down, you play as Commander Nora Walker as you traverse a dystopian Earth that is being ravaged by a trio of alien races --the Brutarian Orcs, Spatium Dwarves, and Stellar Fae. Whilst making your way through randomly generated maps, you'll uncover bits of story and be met with complex levels requiring you to strategize in order to conquer the foes before you. Command your units, be mindful of your energy, and watch the narrative play out to claim victory against your enemies in this narrative-driven rogue-lite deck builder.

My Contribution:

  • Responsible for all the narrative components of Meteor Down

  • Wrote both the main character and enemy backstories

  • Wrote all in-game player-facing text (i.e., heal spots and artifact encounters)

  • Wrote all cinematic cutscenes
